The Parish Church of St George the Martyr
Wash Common - a parish of the Newbury Team Ministry
The Diocese of Oxford

The Italianate Church of St George the Martyr serves the growing and busy community of Wash Common to the south of Newbury, the site of the first battle of Newbury in 1643. It also serves as a memorial to the fallen of the First World War and the thousands that died here in that Civil War battle.
