If you are interested in Baptism for your new baby (Congratulations) or for yourself please
contact our Baptism Team (via the Church Office on 01635 41249 or e-mail)
who will be happy to talk about the arrangements with you.
Wherever possible baptisms should be celebrated when the congregation is there to welcome a new member to Church family. For this reason we normally celebrate them at our main Sunday service at 9.30am on the third Sunday of the month. Afternoon baptisms are normally held at 3pm on the fourth Sunday of each month.
Remember that God's love for you and your child is far greater than our love for Him can ever be. In baptism God gives us new life - in fact he revives us. By having your child baptised, you have made a very important choice - that your child should be a member of God's family, believe in God, and try to live as God wants, receiving God's help in doing so.

And a theological view from Baptismal Integrity
Most people when they are baptised are too young to understand the promises made by their parents and godparents for them.
Confirmation is when the person can take over that responsibility themselves. We offer confirmation classes for both young people and adults to help them understand their faith and the choice they are taking to live in the love of Jesus Christ. Confirmations are always conducted by a Bishop.
If you would like more details about Confirmation please contact the vicar (Tel. 01635 524994).
